Welcome to my Street Team!
I appreciate your support! For independent authors like myself, it’s not easy to get the word out compared to books that have the backing and resources of traditional publishers.
SIX WAYS YOU CAN HELP TODAY
Review the book on Amazon, wherever you bought the book, or Goodreads. This is really important for all authors, but especially self-published ones!
Read the book with your book club, or create a pop-up book club! You can use the discussion & reflection questions in my free reader’s guide as a starting point, and I can suggest book (or podcast!) excerpts for those who might not finish the book in time. I’m also virtually attending as many book clubs as I can!
Introduce Beyond Leaning In and my workshops to decision-makers or influencers: This could be a personal recommendation to your HR, learning and development, DEI, or executive team that they check out my work (including my workshops), or giving the book to an influencer you know (someone in your network with a social media following or access to relevant audiences). Here’s a one-page PDF that you can use to introduce the book to your organization.
If you know a college or university instructor who might be interested in adopting the book into their syllabus, let them know they can download an extensive free instructional guide and request me to guest lecture at no cost here.
Share about the book with your network. If you’re not on social media, email or text two friends who you think would enjoy the book, or share on Slack or through other workplace communications (group listservs, internal discussion boards). See ideas for what to post below! I also have a press kit here if you know any book reviewers, bloggers, podcasters, etc.
Ask your local library or favorite bookstore if they’d be interested in bringing me in for an author talk (using this one-page “sell sheet” that contains the information they’ll need to order the book).
Thanks for sharing about my book!
